The argument in favor of using filler text goes something like this: If you use any real content in the Consulting Process anytime you reach.

A wakesurf wave is not a rolling ocean wave. It is a permanent, moving hill of water created by the boat, holding the same place relative to the boat as long as the throttle stays steady. The pocket is the steepest, deepest part of that hill — the section just behind and slightly to one side of the swim platform where the face curls and the water climbs fastest.
That climbing water is what gives you push. As the face lifts the board, it also shoves it forward, and once the rope goes slack, push is the only thing keeping you moving. Ride outside the pocket, out in the flat water behind the wave, and nothing lifts the board. You slow, the wave runs away, and you sink.
The size and shape of the pocket shift with speed, ballast, the people in the boat and the board under your feet. It moves around — your job is to move with it.
Good pocket riding starts with the stance. Most riders stand too far back and too upright, which buries the tail and drags the brakes.
Push is something you feel before you see it. In the right place, the board lifts under your front foot, the nose rises, and the water behind becomes a steep, noisy face. The rope loses tension and the board feels light.
If the board feels sluggish and the wave falls away behind you, you have drifted into the flats. If it shoots forward and the rope goes slack while you fight to stay behind the boat, you are too high on the face, near the crest.
Two habits help. Look a couple of metres ahead of the board, not at your feet — your balance follows your eyes. And keep your shoulders over your hips. Lean back with your shoulders and you drive the tail down and lose the pocket almost instantly.
Everything in wakesurfing is a micro-movement. You are not throwing your body weight around; you are shifting it by centimetres and letting the wave do the work.
Stay loose in the ankles and knees. A rigid rider transmits every wobble to the board; a relaxed one absorbs the bumps and keeps things running smoothly.
Pumping is how you generate speed without the rope. It is a rhythm, not a lunge. The best moment to pump is when the board is on the steepest part of the face and you feel light — that is when your weight change has the most effect.
The pattern is simple: as the board drops down the face, press down and forward through the front foot. As the wave catches up and lifts you, unweight and pull the board back beneath you. Repeat in short, quick strokes. If you have ever ridden a skateboard in a bowl or a bike around a pump track, it is the same feeling — load, unload, load, unload.
Drive it from your knees, hips and core, keeping your arms quiet. Big, slow pumps waste energy and shove the board out of the pocket; small, fast ones build speed and keep you centred. Once you have the speed, straighten up and settle back into the sweet spot.
Spend a session just finding the pocket and feeling the push before worrying about tricks. Once you can hold the sweet spot without thinking, carves, airs and transfers all get easier.

Wakesurfing close behind a boat requires care. Review hand signals, fall safety, propeller awareness and distance rules before you ride.
